Psychotherapy with Individual and Couples

The bud stands for all things,

even for those things that don’t flower,

for everything flowers, from within,

of self-blessing;

though sometimes it is necessary

to reteach a thing its loveliness,

to put a hand on the brow of the flower

and retell it in words and in touch

it is lovely until it flowers again

from within, of self-blessing;

- Galway Kinell

My desire to practice psychotherapy has always been fueled by my passion to help people wake up to their own light, radiance, beauty and creativity; one psyche at a time.

I love working with couples and individuals and offer both short and long term therapy. My aim in both cases is to help clients identify and dissolve whatever might be obstructing their courage and capacity to show up more fully and engage with life in a meaningful way.

My approach is largely informed by my studies of western psychology, Buddhist psychology, cosmology and the enneagram. The work I do with couples and individuals is always framed against the backdrop of the larger questions of our time; how to move forward in a mutually enhancing way that will support the vitality of the planet as well as one's own personal life and relationships.

Getting to know and free oneself is an amazing, mysterious and potent journey. I feel privileged to witness and support the brave beautiful souls committed to living their life with greater awareness, creativity, depth, authenticity and compassion.

I received my Masters Degree in Education in Counseling in 1987 and became a licensed Marriage and Family therapist (MFC27748) in 1991.

I have been seeing couples and individuals in my private practice for over 25 years. Before that I worked for five years as the counseling director of the family planning and women's clinics at San Francisco General Hospital.

For the past 10 years I have taken numerous intensive enneagram courses and continue to do so two or three times a year.
